Dear Friends, My name is Lyn Francisco, and I am writing on behalf of the Concerts at St. Stephen's Series (http://www.st-stephens-episcopal.org/cass.html). There are two concerts in our series that will be of interest to you and your students. I am attaching two flyers to this email; please print them out and distribute to your students and/or post them in your studios or department bulletin boards. (Flyer 1 and Flyer 2) These concerts will take place at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, 82 Kimberly Drive, Durham NC 27707 (http://www.st-stephens-episcopal.org/directions.html ) at 4:00 p.m. There is no admission charge; however, donations are accepted at the door. The first concert will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2007 and will feature the return of the Borromeo String Quartet to St. Stephen's. The BSQ, in their second visit to St. Stephen's during the 2006-2007 season, will be performing a couple of Beethoven String Quartets. They will also be joined by the Kenan Choral Scholars of St. Stephen's as they perform J. S. Bach's Partita in d minor, BWV 1004: Ciaconna. The second concert will take place on Sunday, March 18, 2007 and will feature the Furman Chamber Strings, under the baton of Thomas Joiner. They will be joined by harpist Anita Burroughs-Price. For more information, please contact Dr. Ben Hutchens, Director of Music, at 919-493-5451, or by email, ben.hutchens@gmail.com Sincerely, |
